Black History Month kick-off at the American Library in Paris

John Morris, 99, may have edited the Robert Capa photograph of Omaha Beach on Linda's book cover.

It was standing room only at the American Library Tuesday, February 2, as Linda kicked off her next book tour for Black History Month. Linda unveiled her new presentation complete with a slideshow of photos of the men of the 320th Barrage Balloon Battalion. She thanks everyone who turned out, and particularly 99-year-old John Morris, the wartime picture editor for LIFE magazine in London, who gave a rousing introduction about living in Jim Crow America. Thank you, John! And thanks to Charlie Trueheart, Library director, for inviting Linda, and Grant Rosenberg, the events coordinator, for making it happen.
